Goldberg Variation 31.4

Jean-Pierre Vial composed this short piece in 2017. The piece is inspired by J. S. Bach's Aria BWV 988, the theme of the well-known “Goldberg Variations”. Despite its much syncopated samba rhythm, which fully contrasts with J. S. Bach's Baroque style, the piece could be considered a supplementary variation to the 30 “Goldberg Variations” where the theme makes the bass line of the variation. The variation is scored for solo piano. The score is published by Universal Edition. The work is registered with SACEM. ●	Jean-Pierre Vial composa cette petite pièce en 2017. La pièce s'inspire de l'Aria BWV 988 de J. S. Bach, le thème des célèbres “Variations Goldberg”. En dépit de son rythme très syncopé de samba, qui contraste totalement avec le style baroque de J. S. Bach, cette pièce pourrait être considérée comme une variation supplémentaire aux 30 “Variations Goldberg” dont elle reprend le thème à la basse. La variation est écrite pour piano solo. Sa partition est publiée par Universal Edition. L'œuvre est référencée auprès de la SACEM. ●
